Amsterdam funk band Spargo clever hooks in on the disco craze and scored in 1980 with debut single You And Me a megahit in the Netherlands. The little singer with the voice Lilian D. Jackson and the tall singer Ellert Driessen provide a nice contrast, both visually and vocally. The rapid success is followed up with hits like Hap Hip Hop and One Night Affair, but during the eighties goes rapidly
… downhill. In 1988 the band stops, then Jackson and Driessen start solo careers. Without much success, and in 1997, Spargo comes back together.
