Supertramp may have continued without Roger Hodgson from 1987 under the same band name - he chose family life over touring - for many, his high voice is still synonymous with the sound of this illustrious symphonic pop group. That's what the enthusiastic audience in an intimate room in Montreal (Carré format) thinks, ecstatically receiving the prodigal son. With the first notes of Take The Long
… Way Home, his voice appears to have lost nothing of its strength. Songs like Give A Little Bit, Breakfast In America, The Logical Song, Dreamer, School and It's Raining Again also appear to survive in stripped-down versions, often just a piano or guitar. Only a saxophone appears to be necessary in some songs to revive the magic of the old Supertramp songs. As extras, interviews and glimpses behind the scenes can be seen. (MS)more
