In 1990 the self-titled debut album by saxophonist Dave Koz was released in America. This CD was listed in the Billboard Contemporary Jazz charts for weeks but was not released in our country. His second CD "Lucky man" also did not appear in our country, while both albums sold no less than 650,000 times in America. "Off the beaten path" is his third piece of work. Koz is very similar in playing to
… his great example David Sanborn, but his music style is much more like Kenny G. The CD contains 13 pop compositions, all of which are very worthwhile. The songs vary from swinging compositions like "Wake up call" and "Flat feet" to quiet songs like "Let me count the ways", "Follow me home" and "Awakenings".more
