The five-man band Strangelove was formed in Bristol in 1991. Their debut album "Time for the rest of your life" was received with great enthusiasm by the British press. The group toured in England with Suede, Radiohead and The Bluetones. "Love and other demons" is their second album that has been compared in the English press to albums like "The bends" (Radiohead) and "The holy bible" (Manic Street
… Preachers). Besides steaming guitar rockers such as the opener "Living with the human machines", this CD contains typical British pop songs such as "Beautiful alone", "20th century cold", "She's everywhere" and "Spiders and flies". Partly due to acoustic songs like "Sway", "# 1432" and "Elin's photograph" is "Love and other demons" an extraordinarily varied and strong album that could well be the big breakthrough for this band. In our country this CD already received the necessary attention, which has ensured that it is now ranked high in alternative charts, including 'The sharp edge of record land'.more
