2019 is a good year for Foals fans. The Oxford collective has released no fewer than two albums. This second part of ties in nicely with its predecessor, but in its entirety seems just a bit more fiery and tighter. There was still experimented with the marimba or pounding on part one, on inspired rhythm, here it stays a bit more straightforward - Foals that is. Fiery guitar work and overwhelming
… vocals are the order of the day. For example, songs like Wash Off and Black Bull will effortlessly generate a moshpit during a live show. The band slows down most of the gas in the ten-minute closing track Neptune, which extinguishes the album with a dormant tension. This album is less exciting and more straightforward than Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost Part 1, but nevertheless shows the craftsmanship of Foals. (JvQ)more
