Rock and punk rock can sometimes seem so obligatory and amodious that it becomes fashionable again or at least sounds refreshing. That is certainly the case with the wild Australian quartet Amyl And The Sniffers. The three male band members, with their hair mats, mustaches and badly fitting jeans, walked straight out of an Australian truckers' café in the 1980s. There they also picked up the platinum
… blonde singer and street girl Amy Taylor who, with her big mouth and generous smile (and wearing little more than a top and shorts), is sexy in her own way. They connect with or punk rock to heavy blues rock. Roaring guitar riffs and runaway drums blast from the speakers at an emergency pace. Amy's good-natured screaming vocals sound thin and shrill, but she has no trouble getting out of the sound wall. Tireless punk rock for tireless punk rock fans. (MR)more
