The young quartet Temples comes from the British town of Kettering. Singer / guitarist James Edward Bagshaw and bassist Thomas Edison Warmsley initially worked here in peace in their own studio full of vintage recording equipment on songs with a great predilection for psychedelic pop. Not only was the time (think of the popular contemporaries American duo or our own ), British celebrities such
… as and reacted positively to the first singles that were released from 2012. Debut Sun Structures is a time travel to 1966 , the period when groups like the and the their songs started to inject psychedelic effects such as reverb, echo and reverse guitar solos. Temples also knows how to combine strong pop songs with such a dreamy and hazy atmosphere. It's just a shame that they don't add anything to that dated sixties sound, but only redo it in a deadly serious way. A clever reconstruction is Sun Structures, but what this psychedelic pop band really needs is a little more mind-blowing. (MR)more
