'Home is where the heart is' say the Americans. The heart of Carlos Santana, his 'corazón', of course speaks Spanish and feels especially at home when he is allowed to collaborate with other musicians. The best illustration of this was Supernatural, the album with which Carlos Santana convincingly revived his career in 1999 by recording songs with young artists. Corazón is also set up according
… to this formula and that results in a varied album. Each song echoes the unique guitar sound of master guitarist Santana. His guests can color the songs in their own way. Guests include Gloria Estefan, Juanes (in the catchy single La Flaca), reggae star Pitbull (in an update of Oye Como Va) and Ziggy Marley. One of the best songs is Mar Bicho, a collaboration with the Argentinian party band Los Fabulosos Cadillacs. Thanks to the eternally young heart of Carlos Santana, Corazón is never bored. (PdK)more
