James Walsh became known as the frontman of Starsailor, but became known to a larger audience in the Netherlands through his collaborations with Ilse DeLange and Carice van Houten. He got to know the latter in 2013 during the Vestrock festival in Hulst (Zeeuws-Vlaanderen) where they sang a few songs together. Contact was maintained and that is why Van Houten has also made a place on his first solo
… record Turning Point. The duet Better Part Of Me is one of the most striking songs on the record, because otherwise Walsh does not show much of a surprise. He indicated that he would like to try it on his own, but musically he does seem to miss his Starsailor buddies. Not surprisingly, he also announced at the launch of his album that Better Part Of Me will not be the end of Starsailor. (BvdV)more
