The Lumineers are living proof that sometimes it takes time to break through, but that hard work does pay off. Wesley Schultz and his buddy Jeremiah Fraites already made music in 2005, but there seemed to be no breakthrough. After wandering to New York and New Jersey, the duo ended up in Denver, Colorado in 2010, where the foundation for The Lumineers was laid. With the help of Neyla Pekarek (cello,
… vocals), Stelth Ulvang (piano) and Ben Wahamaki (bass), the self-titled debut album will be released in 2012, which often receives favorable reviews. The infectious Ho Hey becomes the showpiece of the band and puts The Lumineers on the map both inside and outside the United States. But the debut album does not only float on the success single, also songs like Classy Girls, Stubborn Love and Charlie Boy are well-thought-out pop-folk songs that are particularly popular at festivals.
