Joe Walsh was once seen as one of the founders of with his signature guitar playing. Wichita-born Walsh also released sporadically solo works, but the last one dates back to 1992. frontman saw a revival of the guitar virtuoso and decided to record this formidably produced Analog Man with him. Walsh has left alcohol behind and that has clearly benefited his voice. On this album he is amazed about
… the digital age and shows on the title track that he has trouble keeping up. The guitar still turns out to be one of his best friends, because in almost every song you can hear inimitable guitar riffs. Songs like Lucky That Way and the beautiful Family can be heard from Eagles influences, but it is mainly Lynne who leaves his mark on the sound of Analog Man.
