… sixties is not included on this CD full of romantic jazz standards. Most of these are songs that his family sang at festive occasions during his childhood, supplemented by two of his own compositions in the same style. No problem for a trained musician like McCartney. He is assisted by a variety of professionals, including the world-famous pianist Diana Krall. The sixties sounds like a British tourist on vacation in LA, who can also sing into the microphone in which Nat King Cole once sang. This comparison is by McCartney himself, as if he also knows that this is nothing more than a nice snack. (JE)more
