Panic! At the Disco lost the exclamation mark from their band name in 2008. Now that the third album of these emopop boys is released, the punctuation mark is back, but two members have left. … and Walker continued as and Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith remain Panic! At the Disco. Together with producer Butch Walker, the duo made a cozy rock record. With Walker - known for and - behind the buttons, it is not surprising that P! ATD is making modern pop again. The band turns out to be a kind of Maroon 5 with a bit more pepper between the bottoms. All in all, the CD is not particularly uplifting or catchy. The group still had a lot of momentum around the previous two releases, now the energy has gone a bit. 'You'll dance to anything', Urie sings in Hurricane, but the question is whether the band can still seduce the audience to dance. Exclamation mark or not. (JE)more
