Aphrodite is the Australian singer's eleventh album and follows the hip electro album X (2007). In line with the trend of the moment, Kylie is moving more in the direction of the house of the nineties and further away from the tough electronica that also graced her album
… Body Language (2006). Funnily enough, Kylie has been around for so long that she also witnessed the original arrival of the house genre. The difference is that Kylie is now being approached significantly more seriously than it was roughly twenty years ago. Minogue is no longer a trivial pop singer and with songs like All The Lovers, Better Than Today and the title track she places herself at the forefront of pop music again.
