With Kroungrine, sound artist Darrell 'Bola' Fitton delivers his most accessible work to date. Although he still surprises the world with the endless possibilities that the studio offers, his experiments sound spontaneous, natural and above all not too inventive. The songs on Kroungrine flow into each other and form a soundtrack for nightlife in the near future. The funky opening track Zoft Broiled
… Ed floats over deserted streets where an ominous threat awaits us at every corner. The beat bravely continues, the percussion, whether or not reversing, indicates the activity in the street, while the dark string parts especially warn us not to walk into dark alleys. Still, there is room for optimism. In Halyloola, for example, people no longer have to spy around skittishly and it seems as if the sun is shining in a future shrouded in darkness.
