The Dutch girl group Djumbo was founded to promote the supermarket chain with (almost) the same name. In a few years, the group's success has grown into something much greater than just a marketing tool. Their first album Jump (2005) immediately earned the trio Svenja, Lindsy and Lotte a number of top-5 quotations. Their cheerful songs, with Dutch and English lyrics used interchangeably, do well
… with the young target group, which puts Djumbo in the same area as K3 and Kus. Djumbo's second full CD Spotlight is supported by a theater tour and a reality soap at the TROS.
