The appreciation of the new Wilco will largely depend on the expectations of the listener. A modest ambition perhaps, but one that has been fully realized. Because if you listen to Sky Blue Sky with an open mind, you will hear a rich atmospheric album from a band in top form, which, despite its relatively high 'feel good' content, has more than enough depth to meet Wilco's high quality standards.
