The fact that the Norwegian pianist / composer Bugge Wesseltoft and the German techno musician / producer Henrik Schwarz are well matched could already be heard on the 2011 album . The ethereal and classically oriented playing of the former mixes or contrasts nicely with the electronics of the second. On Trialogue they will be joined by the Swede Dan Berglund, once bassist in the legendary piano
… trio of and now leader of the jazz / post-rock . Berglund is a solid bass player and therefore a dominant addition to the duo. The folksy Headbanger Polka, for example, wouldn't look out of place on a Tonbruket album. The lyrical and dreamy playing of Wesseltoft cannot be changed, but this is given more character by the scratching and distorted electronics of Schwarz and the knotty picking and stroking of Berglund on this fascinating triad.
