Until recently, Buscemi's productions had to contend with a certain superficiality. Nu-jazz according to a simple house formula was his specialty. … previous CDs. With success, because the addition of live musicians not only gives the music more depth, but also adds significantly more swing. Buscemi's inspiration comes from all corners of the world, but especially from Brazil. The guest vocals here again come from Isabella Antenna, Vivian Godoy and Fay Lovsky. In the end, Buscemi dares to play a blues for the first time in his life. Hidden, however, is sung by Joy Adegoke in such a simulated American accent that it unintentionally works on the laughing muscles. For the rest, Jazz Works is a huge step forward. (AD)more
