Tour de Force is without a doubt the most unique concert series Joe Bonamassa ever gave. The born New Yorker played four consecutive nights in London at four different locations in the spring of 2013. With the concerts, the guitar virtuoso shows a bird's eye view of the route through which he managed to make a name for himself in England. He returns to The Borderline - a hall that can accommodate
… just 200 people - to eventually end up in the prestigious Royal Albert Hall via the Shepherd Bush Empire and The Hammersmith Apollo. The concerts have been released on four different DVDs. They each deal with their own theme and Bonamassa uses a different backing band at each location, which ensures different setlists and ambiances. The Royal Albert Hall is the last stop of the Tour de Force and Bonamassa is going big. He kicks off with an acoustic set, this time accompanied by musicians with whom he recorded the DVD An Acoustic Evening at the Vienna Opera House in 2012. After the acoustic set, the gas goes full throttle and Bonamassa decides to make it a greatest hits evening that brings a beautiful end to a unique concert series. (BvdV) (BvdV)more
