Cieli Di Toscana is the ninth solo album by the golden voice Andrea Bocelli. The Italian tenor naturally combines a career in pop music with a career in classical music. After his previous (classic) album Sacred Arias, it was now pop's turn. Cieli Di Toscana is Bocelli's fifth pop album and again has an intimate appearance. It contains romantic, melodic ballads in which his warm, soulful voice comes
… out beautifully: the voice with which he touches many hearts. The CD starts with Melodramma, a grand ballad in which Bocelli is supported by piano and orchestra. Mascagni is inspired by the interlude from Mascagni's opera Cavalleria Rusticana, after which L'Abitudine is a duet with the Italian singer Helena. On L'Incontro Bono reads a poem by Bocelli in English. Il Diavolo E L'Angelo and Resta Qui are (partly) composed by Bocelli. The musical natural talent Bocelli ends the album on L'Ultimo Re with a radiant, lyrical sounding high C. (SvdP)more
