Jacques Klöters, George Groot, Pieter van Empelen and Fred Florusse are a day older, grayer and balder than they were then, but they are on the right track. Full of craftsmanship and self-mockery, they sing polyphonic songs and alternate them with short dialogues and skits on the following subjects: being old and forgetful, the generation gap, women, old wounds within Don Quishocking and the loss of their left-wing engagement. The young cabaret artist Maaike Martens, endowed with a beautiful voice, gives extra jeu to the men's quartet. Was I Fossili a swan song, as Don Quishocking himself claims? Hopefully not! (SvdP) _more
