When Lenny Kuhr received a guitar on her tenth birthday, music became her passion and life from now on. She developed into a folk singer with a uniquely warm voice who performed her songs full of passion. In her more than 40-year career, Kuhr had two big hits: Troubadour, the song with which she won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1969 (together with three other countries, by the way) and Visite, a
… song from 1980 with the French boy choir Les Poppys. My Songs, My Life is the title of Kuhr's first DVD release. In addition to her Eurovision performance, the DVD largely contains the concert recorded by TROS in 2007 from her anniversary theater tour 40 Years In Love. Intertwined with this concert is an interview by Ivo Niehe, in which Kuhr tells about the period that she lived with her children in Israel or the year that she lost her voice. The accompanying bonus CD contains previously unreleased material from her private collection, once collected on cassette tapes: demos recorded in studio sheds, living room recordings and three songs from her tour with George Brassens. Supplemented with her personal commentary, this CD / DVD release provides an intimate overview of the life and career of this special woman.
