The duo Acda & De Munnik went their own way for a year and a half. Paul de Munnik toured theaters with Kees Prins and JP den Tex and put together a book. Thomas Acda faced major losses in his private life: a deceased parent and divorce. When the duo got back together, this grief left its mark on the songs for the album Night Music. On the DVD Acda & De Munnik Playing we see the duo again on
… stage as usual, with a song program that is alternated with conferences, anecdotes and jokes. The decor with large windows and a piano covered with lyrics depicts Acda's living room. The slightly too much drinking, depressive Acda hardly leaves the house anymore, so De Munnik comes to him. This is how the men 'rehearse', assisted by guitarist David Middelhof, their songs for a new theater program. With permanent director Ruut Weissman and visual direction by Joram Lürsen. (SvdP)more
